Thomas L. Hankinson was born April 12, 1876, and died December 3, 1935. T. L. Hankinson was professor of zoology and physiology at Eastern Illinois State Normal College from 1902-1919 and professor of zoology at Michigan State Normal College from 1921-1935. From 1919-1921 he was an ichthyologist at the Roosevelt Wildlife Experimental Station in New York. At the time of his death he also served as a research associate at the University of Michigan.
